A throughline of communication, connection and human experience.
I’m Mary Beth “MB” Mannino, a communications and relationship-building professional working at the intersection of strategic communication, wellness and human-centered experiences.
Across my career, one question has consistently guided my work:
How do we help people feel more connected, supported and engaged?
That question has shaped everything—from corporate communications and account management to wellness community-building and modern human experience design.
CORPORATE FOUNDATION
My professional foundation was built in corporate communications, advertising sales and client relationship management—where I developed deep experience in strategic communication, partnership development, stakeholder engagement and revenue-driving account growth.
I supported cross-functional teams and built long-term client relationships rooted in trust and performance.
This work taught me how communication functions as both strategy and relationship—how clarity, consistency and understanding directly influence outcomes, trust and growth.
EXPANDING INTO WELLNESS & HUMAN EXPERIENCE
Over time, my work naturally expanded into wellness, mindfulness and human behavior.
Not as a departure from communications—but as a deeper layer of understanding what drives people.
I became increasingly interested in how stress, attention, connection and wellbeing shape how individuals and communities show up in their lives, relationships and work.
This led me to design and facilitate wellness experiences, lead workshops, participate in speaking engagements and collaborate with organizations focused on wellbeing, mental health and human connection.
Through this work, I developed a more nuanced understanding of behavior, motivation, presence and the importance of meaningful connection in modern life.
COMMUNITY BUILDING
In parallel, I founded Detroit Wellness Social Club—a wellness-centered community created to bring people together through intentional experiences.
DWSC was born from a simple observation: wellness often happens in isolation, while real transformation is supported through connection.
Building this community has deepened my experience in creating spaces that foster belonging, engagement and human connection in real time.
HOW I THINK ABOUT MY WORK
At the core of everything I do is a belief in the power of human connection.
Whether through communication, community, wellness or experience design, I’m drawn to the spaces where people feel seen, understood and supported.
I’m especially energized by work that sits at the intersection of:
strategic communication
relationship and partnership building
wellness and human behavior
community and engagement
meaningful human experiences
This intersection is where I believe the future of communication, wellbeing and brand trust is being shaped.
WHat I’m drawn to next
I’m most interested in roles and opportunities within wellness, health, consumer and mission-driven organizations where communication, relationships and human connection are central to the work.
This includes strategic partnerships, communications, community engagement, client and member experience, and relationship-driven growth.
PERSONAL NOTE
Outside of my professional work, I continue to explore ideas around intentional living, self-awareness, wellbeing and the small daily practices that shape how we experience our lives.
Through writing, reflection and observation, I share insights on communication, human behavior and the space between who we are and who we are becoming.
This work is published through my Substack, where I explore modern wellbeing, self-mastery and meaningful living.
